May I Take Your Order

I realized recently that I always speak for Davis, tell him how to respond to others, remind him to say please and thank you, answer questions for him, etc. Another thing that I do for him is ask him what he wants to eat and then I order for him. It just never occurred to me that if he can tell me what he wants, he certainly can tell the person who is taking orders. This was made clear to me recently when Davis and I went to Chic-Fil-A. We stood at the counter and I asked Davis what he wanted. When Davis pulled me down to whisper in my ear, the nice young gentleman behind the counter said, “You can tell me what you want.” Davis didn’t hesitate. He told the guy exactly what he wanted. Guess it’s time to let the boy just speak for himself.

Height – 23.5 inches – 75th percentile
Head Circumference – 42 cm – a whopping 90th percentile

Silas is cooing and smiling and staring like her’s trying to memorize my face. He is pure sweetness. He cries when he is hungry, needs changing or needs to sleep. Most nights he sleeps 5 hours, eats, then sleeps another 4. He hates car rides, only takes a pacifier when he’s crying and desperately needs it, loves to escape the swaddle, and adores being held although he will sit in the swing for short durations.
