Underwear

Today when I was taking a shower I heard Davis in his room beginning to cry. I stuck my head out of the shower and said, “What’s wrong buddy?” He walked into the bathroom naked, holding two pairs of underwear. He replied, “None of these underwear work with my Spiderman costume.” I told him to more…

Snaiku

We were stopped in our tracks twice by snakes on the walking path at Middleton Place. Below is my haiku about snakes.

Ticket

Tracy and Davis are playing trains in the living room floor. Davis is Thomas of course. Tracy is playing a police man. Thomas is going way too fast. The police man stops Thomas and asks him, “What’s the hurry?” Thomas replies, “Please, please let me go.” The policeman then tells Thomas that he is getting more…

Brooke green gardens

Today Davis met a little girl at the park named Brooke. When Tracy got home and asked Davis what he did today, he responded, “I played with Brookgreen Gardens.”

I explained to his teacher that he could be stubborn. She explained to me that he was more than stubborn, he was more…

Name Change

The other day, Davis and I were talking about names. I questioned, “Davis, what is your last name?” to which he responded, “Kirkland Floyd.” I asked, “Well, what is your first name?” to which he responded, “Superman.”

Guacamole

Each morning when I leave for work, I give Davis a kiss, tell him I love him, and to have a good day. His response – Guacamole Mommy!

Marinara?

Last night we went to dinner at Fontinello’s, a really delicious Italian restaurant. Davis ordered grilled chicken with some pasta. When the chicken arrived it was covered in sauce. Nana told Davis it was ketchup. Davis looked at her and said, “No, Nana, it’s menorah.”
